September: Letter

Grace is “unmerited” forgiveness, so incredibly pure, so irresistible, that it purifies whatever it touches. It is a manifestation of infinite love in the form of boundless mercy. Grace is not so much a gift but an inheritance poured out by our precious Lord upon His holy treasures.  Because boundless mercy is one of the components of which we are comprised, we naturally assimilate grace as it rains down upon us all.

There are probably none among us that have not from time to time sought God’s grace. When we do not see instant results we may reason we are unworthy of such a “gift.” We tend to think of grace as wondrous when it is we, the children of divinity that are truly miraculous. What separates us from grace is this feeling of unworthiness. Such a consciousness is opposed to reality, and it builds a barrier between us and infinite mercy.

It may be well to consider, God does not make inferior children. Also, we can never, no matter how misguided our actions, make of God that which in unholy. We are fragments, bits of holiness; children of Tender Loving Kindness. It is not within our power to make unholy that which our Lord makes divine. Our blessed Lord has drawn our essence from Himself, and set our feet upon the path toward individuality. Contrary to our fears, when we try to meet our destiny, we cannot step off this path. As we persist, act by act, experience by experience, the road is placed new, under foot, with every step we take. Unless and until we can accept we are indeed worthy of our heritage, we will see ourselves as separate from it.

There is grace enough for all living things, and we do not determine who is qualified to receive it. However, when we as children of divinity pour out our mercy upon those that are His, we participate in the most unimaginable of all miracles. When we so bless others, when we freely pour out infinite mercy from ourselves upon others, we become one with the source and substance of grace.  As a result we make a miracle of those we would bless, and in this we meet our destiny as children of Limitless Love.

May God bless you and awaken within you a sense of your own divinity.
