Letter: May 2nd part
Excerpted from Life and Death: The Pilgrimage of the Soul P.9
In the timeless, spaceless expanse of eternity, God’s Thought was expressed. It could not be seen or heard, nor was it perceptible to that spiritual dimension for which it was destined. It was as invisible to the senses of the spiritual realm as our thoughts are to the material dimension. Life was expressed in spirit and in this living thought God imaged the entirety of the third dimensional reality. God’s thought contained the patterns of reality, the creative elements of will, the universe in all of its glory and the image of time and space in which it would all unfold. It drew to itself that of which this spiritual realm consisted, acted upon spirit, transformed it and built about itself a boundless spiritual body. Its nucleus was not spirit, but its outer layers which it produced from the substance of the spiritual realm were. At first, as the process began it was barely recognizable to the spiritual dimension, perceptible more as a presence than as an image. Then, this thought, embraced by spirit, began to glow, first unnoticeably and then it became brighter. As it drew more and more spirit to itself, it seemed to grow in intensity, in size and “then there was light.” It was the mind of God acting on spirit, a beginning in reality.
When it was ripe, when it had gathered sufficient of the realm of spirit, all at once it exploded. At its very center was love’s need to express itself. It flew out in all directions at once like love exploding from the heart in search of its own. It was not a random explosion, not a disconnected flying apart but was more like a macrocosmic inflation. It flew across the face of infinity and filled reality, as light fills the darkness. It replaced nothing but illuminated everything. Within its expanse, there it was ‑ time and space ‑ a new dimension in a universe of dimensions, expanding across eternity, a new expression of its creator. This new realm expanded like an endless balloon while an entire consciousness was exploding into reality and pushing out its borders in every direction. Then, from the center came forth that substance from which the universe would evolve, filling time and space with energy on an unimaginable scale. Now this energy which filled space appeared almost as a distortion against the blackness of its background. Within the embrace of this energy, flying endlessly from the center, evolved the gases congealing around points of consciousness, which began to take on visible image. Finally there it was; matter, energy slowed to its lowest rate of vibration, with the gasses held together by consciousness crystallized into a universe of matter. All of this in motion, time, space, energy and matter; moving out from the center from which endless creation continued to expand in all directions.
