Faith
Love is manifest in spiritual realms as faith, which then is expressed as countless spiritual attributes. Faith is that connection to our source which binds all of creation together. Without faith, we cannot bridge the oneness we share with all life, for faith is our connection with all expressions, all manifestations of our infinite Creator. In its infancy, faith is a belief while in its maturity faith is a knowing.
A living faith is a force that drives us to express our highest ideals. Faith emanates from the highest spiritual sources, it does not owe its existence to us, nor can we possess it. However, we can use it, and imbue faith in all of our activities. Consequently, our lives are filled only with that faith we have expressed in our daily deeds. Because faith is a spiritual attribute, available always to the children of Infinite Loving Kindness, we cannot lose it. If we fail to use it at any time it remains available, if full vitality, to use when we are ready. Faith is perfect; we cannot damage, diminish or in any way tarnish it. Faith, being an expression of love, is permeated with grace. This grace filled attribute is not something we must earn or become worthy of. Likewise, we cannot become unfit or limited in our ability to fully express ourselves faithfully at all times.
We are eternal souls interacting in a material dimension. As such we possess the organs sufficient to express ourselves in the three dimensional environment. Reason is such an organ; it is not so material as to have height, weight or physical dimensions. However, reason is a mental organ which enables us to productively express our spirituality in an environment bound up in time and space. Ideally, faith drives reason and not the reverse. Also, faith does not replace reason but energizes it. Through reason we begin to absorb faith, and through acts we give it form. In this way, as our actions become expressions of faith, all of our activities are faith filled; faithful.
With our next action we have the opportunity of expressing a perfect, fresh and living faith. Nothing we have ever done limits our ability to act in faith. No matter how many times faith has been absent in our lives, it is fully available to us in our next act, and all that is necessary is that we choose. Life is full of choices and we may choose faith each time or not. However, let us find courage in the fact that faith, a living expression of Tender Loving Kindness, has chosen us, and this is God’s choice.
