Let us consider our God is the cause, the sum and substance of all creation. Nothing exists that is not part of God. God is perfect, which means God is complete. We use descriptions like omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowing) and omnipresent (present everywhere) but these are general terms. God is personal and impersonal therefore God is everything and something. Essential to understanding God, God is love. God is love so perfect that words are wholly inadequate to fully describe Him. When we hold a love that is the cause, the sum and substance of creation, omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent we have a more accurate depiction of our Father.

When we ascribe petty attitudes to our God, we are really recreating God in our own image. Can anyone really imagine the perfect love described here as being hurt, disappointed, angry or retributive? We have heard, and often repeat that God wants or God needs without us considering how perfection, completion can want or need anything. At our very best we wish to please a God that is already perfect, as if perfection can be more or less pleased.

In our quest to understand our God, we may find it helpful to recognize that love; perfect love has at its core the compulsion to express love, to replicate itself in every manner shape and form. Simply put, perfect love must love, and love perfectly. Does this sound like the God we have created in our own image?

It is we that are created in the image and likeness of unspeakable love. It is we who have set our feet upon the ground beneath us that we may experience God in the earth. It is we who are a fragment of perfect love with the compulsion to love perfectly. Because, as works in process, we have not yet risen in consciousness to our potential, does not mean we are less than what we are comprised of. We may begin by understanding God does not want anything from us, and loves us, in fact loves us perfectly just the way we are. We cannot disappoint or in any way hurt our precious Lord. Only we can experience these emotions because only we are growing in consciousness.

In our quest to understand our God, which at the same time is to understand ourselves, we may do well to alter the limited opinion we have of our Lord. In doing so we may release those feelings that stand between ourselves and our gracious Lord. We are not inadequate, and most important neither is our God. We are the precious treasures of Perfection, we are everything made something, and comprised of unspeakable love.

Patience is a spiritual attribute emanating from the highest levels of reality, taking form in every subsequent dimension. Patience is the force that binds pulling all of creation into conformity with the perfect image from which it was formed. Patience insures that the world in which we find ourselves is a living replica of a higher consciousness, existing in a universe that represents the vastness and richness of the more sublime levels of creation. Material reality is not merely a reflection of the sublime but through patience the former is a projection of the later. That which is replicated is bound by that force we call patience to that which it represents.

We have been told we are created in the image and likeness of our God. However, we are far more than that because such a description inadequately portrays our intimate connection with our Lord and the attribute of patience that binds us. Let us consider the possibility our will is at the center of our aspiring souls. Further that the image and likeness of our God is the kernel, the nucleus at the center of our will. This kernel is not simply the reflection of God but an unadulterated fragment of our Lord. Through patience we are pulled in to conformity with the perfection residing at our core. The world in which we live is connected in the same way to spiritual dimensions. Finally, the manner in which we conduct human affairs is bound by patience to the highest spiritual principles possible. In this way life projects and sustains itself throughout all levels of creation.

As uplifting a concept as this may be, how does it help us to experience life in a wholly creative way? As we express ourselves day by day, we are bound by patience to perfection. Thus, through our activities we are either resisting or conforming to that perfect pattern we call God’s will. To embody patience we are not to cease activities but rather to cooperate with its relentless pull Godward. How will we know we are traveling on the right track? When there is agreement between that which we feel, that which we reason and the manner in which we express the two. Patience will not insure an easier life but a wholesome one. As a form of behavior, patience is a persistent quest for harmony with our highest ideals. This is far from the conventional concept of simply waiting for something to happen.

Patience is never in a hurry, never inattentive, never inconsistent and its victory assured. In patience, perfection is wholly irresistable. We can oppose its pull as long as we wish but eventually perfection will have its way. This is the promise of our God from who radiates the spirit of patience that our lives may be an expression of our divine selves.

May God bless you with wisdom that you may grow in understanding, “in patience possess ye your soul.”

Our mental self is comprised of the substance of the mental realms. They are more a home to us than the earth is and we have resided in these finer realms far, far longer than in the earth. During a lifetime in the earth we deplete this mental energy we have stored to a point where it can no longer be refreshed. At that time, we extrude matter and return to the mental realms for resuscitation. So familiar and hospitable are these finer realms to us, upon return we feel we have awoke from a foggy dream and returned home

There is nothing simple about it. We refer to consciousness as awareness but it is much more. Consciousness is a living thing; it is both personal and impersonal at the same time. Thoughts are things and whether we see them or not, they take form in the mental realms. Thoughts are how we respond to consciousness and at the same time they transform consciousness. The mental realms are comprised of the collective consciousness of yet higher life forms. A very helpful description of these finer mental realms can be found in my latest book, VOYAGE THROUGH ETERNITY.

Yes they do, in fact we can say that an angel is the embodiment of a single emotion. This is not to say angels are not sentient, highly intelligent beings, but they are dedicated to a single emotion. If we doubt for even a moment how incredibly gifted angels are, entire dimensions of reality are comprised of condensed angel thought. Angels are ministers, given their marching orders by arch angels, and dedicated to the service of all that has been placed in their care. Angels, an incredibly high order of life, are kind and caring; they are dedicated and never judgmental. They are the perfect companions and guardians of mankind who have indeed been place in their keeping.

Absolutely we can think things in to existence, for thought are things. They are the nucleus of all things material, which derive their spiritual energy from thought forms. However, thoughts do not become material by their own accord for they need a medium through which to materialize. Here we are; the medium, the means for mental reality to become physical. When we act on thought forms we build materiality around them, subsequently, the thought absorbs the matter and a matter absorbed thought form exists. We prefer to think that thoughts reside within matter but this presumes matter can exist independent of the thought form. This simply is not so, and in the end we bring in to existence matter permeated thought forms.

It is easier to understand we are souls with bodies and not the reverse. Matter is gradually absorbed by what we call our soul. Thus we can say, the soul is everywhere in a living body. When the experience is finished, the soul releases the matter to be returned to the elements of the earth from which it was formed. The process is described in great deal in VOYAGE THROUGH ETERNITY by Harvey A. Green.

Both are real sciences but evolution is the perfecting of mater. Physical reality is not created imperfect but within it is planted the seeds of perfection. Material creation is meant to evolve or perfect so that which was created can experience the process of perfection. If matter was created in its ultimate perfection, ourselves included, we would never know what it is like to become perfect. In the absence of such an experience, matter would simply not know itself to be perfect but just to be. The process is essential to understanding where we have been as compared to where we are. All matter has consciousness and evolution makes possible the awareness of perfection. A light does not know itself to be a light unless it is first conscious of the darkness it illuminates.

The I Ching is the ancient art of inquiry through the tossing of coins. It can be traced back to its Asian roots and it is akin inquiring of an Oracle. Here questions are posed, coins are tossed and the combination of sides (heads or tails) point to an answer. The I Ching has been recommended by many spiritualists and there are many good books on the subject. A reference book is essential to read and understand and chart the combinations of sides called hexograms. The I Ching Workbook by R.L. Wing is an excellent resource.
